Which was a complete exoneration, Man City did not pay his wages.

Mendy was contractually entitled to £500,000 a week (22 million baht). When he was first arrested in November 2000. City continued to pay him his regular salary. But after he was arrested again the following year. He was suspended indefinitely without pay. According to Mendy’s lawsuit, he was detained by police on two separate occasions, spanning five months, while the legal battle lasted for about 22 months. Resulting in around £11.5m (506 million baht) in unpaid wages. Joanne Dunlop, a judge at the UK Labour Court, said that when Mendy was not detained, he was ready and willing to work. So his employer had no right to withhold his wages during that time. The club was ordered to pay the majority of the £11.5m claim by Mendy. If the two parties cannot agree on the amount, the court will consider it.
