Spain national team player ratings
David Raya – 6/10
Dolberg only had one save early in the game, but it was important enough to keep Denmark from gaining an advantage. He had nothing else to do, and was booked late in the game for wasting time.
Pedro Porro – 7/10
He was able to add to the attacking game quite well. He was quite involved on the right wing to coordinate with Yamal, and almost got his name on the list of assists. But the Barcelona forward accidentally shot over the bar.
Dani Bebian – 7/10
The center-back pairing with Laporte was strong, with almost no mistakes, but because Denmark’s attacking game was not pressurized, it was not a difficult task.
Aymeric Laporte – 7/10
Lost his edge when Dolberg almost scored and gave the away team an early lead. Other than that, there was nothing to worry about, such as the opportunity to score from a set piece.
Alex Grimaldo – 7/10
He was able to add to the attacking game with an intensity that was no less than Porro’s side, and he almost had his name on the list of assists, if Morata had been sharper.
Fabian Ruiz – 8/10
He was excellent in the midfield, creating many goal-scoring opportunities for his teammates, and he also found space to shoot himself. It’s a pity that he didn’t score or assist in this game, but without Ruiz, Spain’s midfield game might not have been as smooth.
Martin Zubimendi – 8/10
He may not have created the attacking game that Ruiz did, but he was good defensively, cleaning up the midfield impressively before becoming the hero with the winning goal in a frustrating moment.
Pedri – 6/10
He was a bit quiet in the game when the team needed him the most. He had few chances to create plays and almost no chances to shoot. It’s no wonder he was substituted.
Lamine Yamal – 7/10
He was a total disaster for the defenders, unfortunately his chances to score were not successful, but whenever he had the ball at his feet. He was always dangerous, forcing the away team’s defenders to surround him.
Alvaro Morata – 6/10
Squandered a few chances when he could have scored at least one goal. However, Schmeichel must be commended for being incredibly tough today, making a lot of saves.
Miguel Oyarzabal – 6/10
He supported the offensive game well and coordinated with his teammates, but still lacked a decisive moment at the last moment and was substituted.
Substitute
Miguel Merino (on for Pedri 62′) – 6/10 – Came on and improved the midfield a lot and also gave Ruiz more freedom to attack.
Alex Baena (on for Oyarzabal 62′) – 6/10 – Not too dissimilar to Oyarzabal.
Joselu (on for Morata 78′) – 6/10 – Much more fearsome in the air but not enough of the ball to get to him.
Sergio Gomez (on for Yamal 90′) – N/A
